Flat fees

One flat fee, written down before you hire us

The fee depends on the plan and what you own. We quote it in writing after a 20-minute call, and it stays the same however many meetings it takes.

  • Wills and powers of attorney

A will with guardians for children, and powers of attorney for each of you. A couple's plan is priced together.

    • Will

    • Financial power of attorney

    • Health care directive

    • One-page plan summary

  • A living trust

Keeps your home out of probate, with everything in the will plan. Each extra property moves the fee.

    • Living trust and pour-over will

    • Deed for one home

    • Powers of attorney for each of you

  • A special needs trust

Written to protect a son or daughter's benefits. It costs less added to a plan than written on its own.

    • Special needs trust

    • Letter of intent

    • Trustee meeting by video

  • Probate

From opening the estate to the final distribution, paid from the estate in two parts. A contested estate is quoted on its own.

    • Court filings and notices

    • Inventory and creditor claims

    • Final account and distribution

Court, filing and recording fees are paid at cost, and we tell you the amount before we file.

How the flat fees work

When do we pay?

Half when you sign the engagement letter and half at the signing. For probate, the fee is paid from the estate in two parts, at the start and at closing.

What if the plan takes more meetings than expected?

The fee stays the same. Extra calls and another round of drafts are part of it.

Is the first call charged?

No. The 20-minute call is how we learn what you need and quote the fee.

What costs more?

Property in another state, a business you own, or a family situation we need more time to plan around. We quote any of these in writing first.

Your fee, on paper, before you decide

Tell us a little about your family and what you own. We’ll reply with the plan that fits and its fee.
